Something To Think About....

Sketchbook Journal - Discussion of artistic technique, concept, or artist. Tie to AP Sustained Investigation theme. This is where you THINK.

Portfolio - This is where you SHOW what you figured out

Sketchbook work as 10 works?

Yes, if......      Visually strong and intentional

Clearly complses as a finished piece

Not just notes, thumbnails or exeriments

"Would this hold up on a gallery wall?"

Before Submitting

Ask: "Does this show growth and investigation?"

Ask: "Is anything weak or repetitive?"

          Double-check writing and images

          You did NOT rush submission

Submit early - not on the last day

MISTAKES TO PREVENT

Submitting SI that looks like a "theme board" isntead of an investigations

Repeating the same composition/style too many times

Weak written responses
